how it all began
Our story
It all started with physical fitness. Back in 2020 we opened upLIFT, a physical wellness brand that prioritizes Black women and members of the LGBT+ community.
Our mission at upLIFT is to help you create the healthy, sustainable lifestyle you desire - free of codependency. upLIFT was created as an act of resistance, after years of being confined to white, male dominated wellness spaces.
As our clientele grew, we noticed a need to support our clients outside of the gym and fitness spaces. We wanted to help our clients holistically - mind, body, and spirit. We wanted our community to be thinking of wellness and preventative care. We wanted to care for our clients on a deeper level and provide tools for healing that could be used at home and along their healing journey. We wanted more for our community, which brought life to Cathartic Creations.
Here at Cathartic Creations, we are firm believers in shadow work, accountability, and living life unapologetically. To achieve your best self is to continuously choose yourself and prioritize your spiritual, mental, and emotional wellbeing.
